There are so many variables in painting the interior or exterior of a home. A lot of the difference comes in the amount of prep work required. Just for example two houses sitting side by side. One could require two days more preparation work than the other. One might have mould or surface contaminants that need removing. Some may have plaster that needs extensive patching or replacing. Other houses may be fully furnished and others completely empty.

In any instance, none of this is a problem for experienced painters; it just requires more labor to bring it up to a standard.

Also, customer’s expectations vary a lot. Some just want a house to have a quick coat to tidy things up; others would like a complete renovation.
